Bank of Russia exhibitions ‘Time and Money’, ‘Coins of Glory’, ‘Stories of the Victory’, and ‘The 250 Years of Russian Paper Money’ are scheduled to take place this winter in 45 cities across Russia.
The Bank of Russia Museum will partner with regional museums (in some cases) to stage these exhibitions in outdoor spaces, libraries, and cultural centres.
The ‘Time and Money’ exhibition will afford some insights into rare ancient coins and banknotes, displaying photos of unusual items previously used for storage and transportation of valuables, and presenting contemporary technologies to handle cash money.
The exhibition ‘Stories of the Victory’, dedicated to the heroes and events of the Great Patriotic War, presents war-themed coins.
‘The Magic of Theatre’ will exhibit theatre-themed coins from the Bank of Russia collection: some most expressional items of great art value.
Nizhny Novgorod in January will play host to the ‘Bank Premises’ exhibition, showing visitors some unique photos of facades and interiors of Bank of Russia office buildings that are federal, regional, or local monuments of history and culture.
Photo exhibitions and shows are held on a regular basis. Please follow the schedule and announcements on our website.
