April 17, 2020.- The Financial Market Commission (CMF) informs that, as of today, all persons who need to request their free Debt Report issued by the Commission may do so online. Said procedure requires the Individual Password issued by the Civil Registry.
The Debt Report shows an individual or legal entity’s indebtedness to banks, savings and credit cooperatives, and support companies subject to the CMF’s supervision. The information contained in the Report is updated on a monthly basis with data provided to the Commission by the financial institutions themselves, according to the provisions of the General Banking Act, the “Debtors System” Chapter of the Information Systems Manual, and Chapter 18-5 of the Commission’s Updated Compilation of Rules for Banks.
The procedure is one of the most common among citizens. Over 620,000 Debt Reports were issued throughout Chile in 2019.
To request their Debt Report online, which until now was only available in person at the Commission’s offices, individuals must visit the CMF + Cerca website or the Citizen Web Services Portal and enter their Individual Password issued by the Civil Registry. Legal entities may request it through the CMF sin Papel (Paperless CMF) service and attach the required form to get their Debt Report within 6-10 business days.
Individuals and legal entities who already have a password issued by the former Superintendence of Banks and Financial Institutions (ex-SBIF) can get their Debt Report here.
To verify the data on the generated certificate, access the Verify Debt Report module.
