April 8, 2019.- The Commissioner of the Financial Market Commission (CMF), Kevin Cowan, will participate in the first meeting of the Latin American Fintech Network organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), on April 8-9 in Panama City, Panama.
During the meeting, which brings together industry players and supervisors from 15 Latin American countries, Commissioner Cowan will participate as a speaker in the panel on Fintech Regulation, which will analyze the challenges faced by regulators in this area. This is part of the effort that the CMF is developing to define an appropriate legal framework for Fintech in Chile.
The meeting will address various topics and aspects related to the current development of the Fintech industry in Latin America. It will emphasize the regulatory and supervisory challenges, and alternatives that may contribute to the development of future policies.
