CVM and OECD hold annual meeting on financial education for Latin America and the Caribbean

The  5th annual meeting of the Financial Education Center for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)  s was performed  on 9/12 .  Promoted by  the Brazilian  Securities Commission (CVM) and  the  Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) , the event will be  online,  from  11:00 am to  2:00 pm (Brasilia time ) . With the theme ”   Literacy  Funny Financial the  LAC: starting early  and schools  to address the socio-economic results “ ,  successful experiences in naturpost -COVID-19 financial operation  will be under debate and . 

The opening of the meeting will be carried out by the president of CVM, Marcelo Barbosa, and by the vice-director  of Financial and Business Affairs at  the  OECD ,  Flore-Anne  Messy . The program also includes  four panels,  related to issues such as the financial literacy of young people  and the impact of the crisis as a result of the pandemic.

About the CVM  and  OECD  Center   for  Financial Education 

Since 2016, the  Autarchy and the OECD have signed a partnership Through a Memorandum of Understanding,  in  which was  set  the C enter of  Education F inanceir to Latin America and the Caribbean .  The agreement was extended in 2020 and continues to  bring to the agenda topics such as financial innovation and sustainable finance. 

Currently, 51 public authorities (central banks, financial market authorities, ministries of finance, education and social policy) ,  22 LAC countries ,  are members of the regional network.
