Grand Imam of the Al Azhar, Sheikh Ahmad Muhammad Al Tayeb – Grand Sheikh of al-Azhar appointed FRA’s Chairman as a member of the Egyptian House of Zakat and Charity’s Board of Trustees.

The Egyptian House of Zakat and Charity was established in accordance with Law no. 123 of 2014, granting it legal personality, enjoying financial and administrative independence and subjecting it to the supervision of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar. The zakat house depends on Zakat funds that are provided voluntarily by individuals or others, as well as alms, donations, gifts and wills which are received by the house and accepted by the Board, then the Zakat funds are disbursed in their prescribed areas in order to spread the spirit of solidarity and compassion among the members of society.

The law also specifies the resources of the zakat house, especially the Zakat funds that are voluntarily provided by individuals or others, as well as alms, donations, donations, wills and subsidies received by the House and approved by the Board of Trustees as well as the return of investing the House’s money in activities that do not conflict with its objectives.
