HANFA Board adopts Ordinance on professional knowledge for certified actuaries

At the meeting held today and following a public consultation, the Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency adopted the Ordinance on the requirements for professional training and examination of professional knowledge required to perform duties of the certified actuary.

This Ordinance lays down requirements for professional training and examination of professional knowledge required to perform duties of the certified actuary, and for compulsory and additional compulsory examinations. Compulsory examinations shall be taken within the framework of the postgraduate studies in actuarial mathematics at the Faculty of Science of the University of Zagreb or another relevant institution, while additional compulsory examinations shall be taken before the Commission for the examination of professional knowledge required to perform duties of the certified actuary. Professional training for additional compulsory exams shall be organised by HANFA. Details and reference materials for these exams shall be published by HANFA on its website.

HANFA will also organise examination cycles, according to estimated needs of the market and based on the expressed interest, at least once a year.

In addition to the above-mentioned Ordinance, at the meeting held today the Board issued a decision granting authorisation to Nataša Kapetanović to perform activities of the member of the Management Board of the company GRAWE Hrvatska d.d., for the term of five years, and a decision granting authorisation to conduct insurance distribution business to the pre-company CRO AP-KUŠTRA d.o.o. za zastupanje u osiguranju, from Zagreb.
