Within the framework of the Authority’s keenness to use a translated name that represents its regulatory role and be an accurate reflection of the Arabic name, the Authority’s BOD has agreed that the name of the Authority shall be in English the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).

This shall be a reflection of the role entrusted to the Authority in order to ensure the stability, safety and development of the markets and protect its dealers as being the competent Authority that regulates non-banking financial markets.

The Authority will gradually change the documents bearing the current name and the new name will be used instead as soon as possible. Besides, it will be amended on its website and any other communication mechanisms.
