The sum under management of UCITS amounted to €13,894.5 million in November 2020. This is a €805.3 (6.2%) increase apropos October. The amount under management of AIFs increased 2.5% up to €311.3 million.
Investment in domestic shares rose by 23.3% for domestic issuers and 15.0% for foreign issuers compared to the previous month. With regard to public debt, the value of the investment fell by 4.7% for national debt and 10.5% for foreign debt. The amount invested in bonds increased 6.2% for national issuers and increased 2.6% for foreign issuers.
EDP was the security with the most impact on the funds’ portfolios, depicting 8.8% of the total amount invested with an 65.0% monthly upswing. This was followed by Sonae SGPS, registering a 47.8% increase in the funds’ portfolios and NOS with a 8.0% apropos October.
As to investment in the EU market, LVMH, Siemens and Inditex lead the field in the SIF’s portfolios and outside the EU, Nike, United Parcel and Apple.
Germany was the key destination for investment of UCITS in November, securing 14.9% of the total fund investment, followed by the USA (14.2%) and France (11.8%). Portugal registered 6.5% of the investment.
Caixa Gestão de Ativos (33.1%), IM Gestão de Ativos (21.3%) and BPI Gestão de Activos (18.8%) were the management companies with the largest market share.
In November, the alternative investment fund “Biz Europa Bull” managed by Biz Capital was established. In the same month, the following share funds were merged, managed by IM Gestão de Ativos: “IMGA Eurofinanceiras – Fundo de Investimento Mobiliário de Valores” into “IMGA European Equities – Fundo de Investimento Aberto de Valores” and “IMGA Mercados Emergentes -Fundo de Investimento Mobiliário Aberto de Ações” into “IMGA Global Equities Selection – Fundo de Investimento Aberto de Ações”.
