In January, the PSI-20 Index closed at 4,7948.55 points, reflecting a 2.1% downturn than in December and a 8.7% decrease than that recorded in the same period in 2020. The key issuers on the Index were EDP Renováveis (18.87%), EDP (15.60%) and BCP (9.10%).
The Index’s volatility stood at 22.95%, above that of 15.83% of the previous month and 10.60% below that recorded during the same period last year.
The value of spot secondary market transactions amounted to €2,362.7 million. This is a €304.6 million (14.8%) increase than in December and €113.8 million (4.6%) more than in January 2020.The trading volume on Euronext Lisbon amounted to €2,362.6 million. This reflects a 14.8% monthly upturn and a 2.1% upsurge during the same period.
The trading volume in debt securities on MTS Portugal amounted to €11,072.0 million in January, representing a monthly increase of 1.9% and Treasury Bills decreased by 2.4% and Treasury bonds rose by 6.8%.
Market capitalisation of Euronext Lisbon amounted to €214,799.8 million. This corresponds to a decrease of €15,398.6 million (6.7%) than in the preceding month and 4.4% less than in the corresponding period. The share sector decreased by 1.3% down to €72,291.4 million, while the bonds sector decreased by 9.2% down to €142,147.8 million.
The amount under management in the undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities and alternative investment funds rose 3.3% in December apropos November up to €14,668.8 million. In real estate investment funds and special real estate investment funds, the amount increased 3.9% up to €10,835.3 million.
