In August 2022, the amount under management of Real Estate Investment Funds (REIF), Special Real Estate Investment Funds (SREIF) and Real Estate Asset Management Funds (REAMF) amounted to €10,968.7 million, an increase of 106.2 million (1.0%) than in July.

The amount invested in real estate investment funds rose 0.4% up to €8,191.1 million. The amount under management of SREIFs increased 2.9% up to €2,459.8 million and the amount under management of REAMFs increased 0.7% up to €317.9 million.

The EU Member States were the key destination for real estate investment corresponding to 100% of the total investment with 48.9% of the portfolio weighting for open-end REIFs and SREIFs in real estate of the services sector.   The commerce sector was the purpose of most REAMFs (47.7%).

Square AM (12.2%), Interfundos (10.5%) and Caixa Gestão de Ativos (8.3%) held the highest market shares.

In August the special real estate investment company “Companhia das Nações Aliadas” managed by Atlantic SGOIC and the real estate investment company “Top Notch” managed by Lynx AM were set up.
