• Dr. Omran: The Egyptian Institute of Directors (EIoD) offers the “Corporate Directors Certification Program (CDCP)” in cooperation with The International Finance Corporation (IFC)
FRA signed a cooperation protocol with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport at FRA’s headquarters. The protocol aims at implementing postgraduate programs between Investment and Finance Institute at the Academy and the Egyptian Institute of Directors in order to open prospects for cooperation through offering the MBA program in the field of corporate governance, health sector governance, bank governance and compliance.
During the ceremony, Dr. Mohammed Omran – FRA’s Chairman announced that the Egyptian Institute of Directors (EIoD) – affiliate of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) – has presented the” Corporate Directors Certification Program (CDCP)” in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) – World Bank Group- during the second week of this month. The protocol aims at providing qualified staff -inside the listed and unlisted companies- who will be able to disseminate and develop their governance practices in accordance with international best practices related to governance and issued by specialized international institutions and in light of The Egyptian Corporate Governance Code issued by the Egyptian Institute of Directors (EIoD).
In this context, Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Soliman, Executive Director of the Egyptian Institute of Directors (EIoD), stressed that the dissemination and development of governance practices helps to achieve the highest growth rates in different companies, thus supporting the economic growth rates of the society as a whole. This certificate is designed to meet the needs of participants in terms of the information and tools necessary to perform their role efficiently in governance practices and comply with FRA’s instructions which regulates non-banking financial markets and instruments.
It is worth mentioning that an additional protocol was signed for the cooperation between the Institute of Investment and Finance at the Arab Academy and the Financial Services Institute- FRA’s training arm – to implement the postgraduate programs (MBA program in investment management courses and securities arbitration, small and medium enterprises management and Islamic finance). On this occasion, Professor Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Academy expressed his happiness to cooperate with FRA, pointing out that the Academy is one of the Arab houses of expertise that is specialized in education, training, research and consulting , added that the academy is one of the active organizations in Arab League.
